Kidney Research

The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is one of the largest care providers in Australia for children with kidney disorders, and has an extensive research program committed to providing the latest evidence to enhance services, improve care and promote health for children with, or at risk of, kidney disease.

Our translational clinical and laboratory research aims to identify causes, treatments, prevention and management of a range of kidney diseases, and to evaluate the evidence for current treatments.

Kidney research is conducted at both SCHN's hospitals, through the Centre for Kidney Research at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, and the Nephrology Department at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick.
