The CEPPGAN is led by Professor Elizabeth Elliott and Dr Diana Thomas. We translate scientific research into medical practice and policy by publishing in medical literature, through the provision of medical education, the organisation of conferences and through contributions to major policy communities and national and international scientific bodies.
In additions to translational research, we provide evidence-based literature and other information to researchers, clinicians, authors, journalist and the general public internationally. We are authors of systematic reviews for The Cochrane Library and contribute reviews that are relevant to current international health issues. We develop databases of randomised controlled trials, systematic reviews and clinical practice guidelines on paediatric gastroenterology and nutrition, accessible at no cost via the CEBPGAN website to clinical, researchers and the public.
We also run a Scientific Writing for Postgraduates course of the Sydney Medical School, recognising that translation of research into policy and practice is improved by good quality research training and scientific writing skills.
