> Professor Kristine Macartney, NCIRS Director

Kristine is the Director of NCIRS, a paediatrician and infectious diseases expert who leads the Paediatric Active Enhanced Disease Surveillance (PAEDS) program, a joint initiative of NCIRS and the Australian Paediatric Surveillance Unit at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. > Professor Robert Booy, Head of Clinical Research

Robert is a Paediatric Infectious Disease Specialist and Clinical Epidemiologist at NCIRS and The Children's Hospital at Westmead. he is widely recognised as an international leader in vaccinology of encapsulated bacteria (meningitis/sepsis), and serious viral respiratory infections. > Professor Peter McIntyre, Senior Staff Specialist

Peter has a broad research interest in vaccine preventable diseases (VPDs) and was Director of NCIRS for nearly 14 years. He is particularly interested in Haemophilus influenzae type b, Streptococcus pneumoniae and pertussis, and VPDs in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. He has led numerous vaccine trials.  > Associate Professor Nicholas Wood, Senior Clinical Research Fellow

Nick is a paediatrician and Discipline of Paediatrics and Child Health Senior Lecturer with an active research interest in maternal and neonatal immunisation. His work in the Adverse Events Clinic and Refugees Clinic underscores his interest in reactions to vaccination and immunisation in disadvantaged communities.
