> Professor Chris Cowell, Director of Research

Chris is Director of Research for the Sydney Children's Hospital Network and the Kids Research Institute, and maintains a clinical and research interest in paediatric endocrinology.

> Ms Cate Smith, Associate Director of Research Operations

Cate manages Research Operations at the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network and The Kids Research Institute, and has an MBA and extensive research business management experience.

> Professor Ian Alexander, Head of the Gene Therapy Unit and Associate Director of Laboratory Research

Ian is Director of Laboratory Research at the Kids Research Institute, Senior Staff Specialist and currently leads the development of the Genomics Rare Disease initiative.

> Professor Peter McIntyre, National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance (NCIRS) Director and Associate Director of Population Health Research

Peter is a Senior Staff Specialist in Infectious Diseases at the Children's Hospital at Westmead and leads Research in vaccine preventable diseases and population health.

> Professor Louise Baur AM, Dean of The Children’s Hospital at Westmead Clinical School and Head of Obesity ResearchAssociate 

Louise is Dean of The Children’s Hospital at Westmead Clinical School and a Consultant Paediatrician at The Children’ Hospital at Westmead where she is an active member – and former Head - of Weight Management Services, a multidisciplinary clinical service for obese children.

> Professor Russell Dale, Sub-Dean of Research and Co-Leader of the Institute of Neuroscience and Muscle Research

Russell is a paediatric neurologist at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead with a significant clinical and academic interest in neuroimmunology and movement disorders.
