Clinical Research Centre

The Clinical Research Centre assists clinical investigators and industry partners to conduct clinical research, including clinical trials, with children. It does this by offering advice, support, training and access to clinical research resources.

As the first paediatric clinical research centre in NSW – and one of just a few operating nationally – it offers researchers who want to conduct clinical trials at the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network access to a large paediatric population of sick children and the most complicated medical conditions. This is a Sydney Children's Hospitals Network facility with sites at Westmead and Randwick.

A new, dedicated Clinical Research Centre is currently under development at the Kids Research Institute. The facility will provide consultation rooms, pharmacy and allied health services and the integrative capacity to conduct large-scale clinical research studies at Westmead. The facility will enhance the capacity of the existing Clinical Research Centre and its services.
