
Exploring the impact of COVID-19 on vulnerable children & young people in Australia
The global outbreak of COVID-19 has impacted all children and young people in Australia. A study led by joint departments at Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network recently published in the Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health, highlighted the impact the pandemic is having on vulnerable groups of children and young people, particularly those who already experience poor health and well-being.

While significant work is already underway to support children and families, the study highlights some of the key ways health professionals can best support and prioritise the health and well-being of these vulnerable groups children and young people.
