First Paediatrician Elected to National Health and Medical Research Council
World-leading paediatric neurologist and geneticist, Professor Kathryn North, has been elected to join the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) as chairperson of the Research Committee. Professor North is the first paediatrician to be elected to the council, a position awarded to people who display leadership and expertise in their chosen medical fields.

Centre for Kidney Research Success at the Recent International Congress of the Transplant Society (Berlin)
Researchers from The Centre for Kidney Research (CKR) at The Children’s Hospital Westmead recently attended the 24th International Congress of the Transplantation Society in Berlin, Germany for the week-long meeting which began July 15th.
