Research Executive Committee
The Research Executive Committee oversees research management at the Kids Research Institute, facilitating the productivity of significant and often ground-breaking research outcomes.
The committee is responsible for the development, dissemination and implementation of policies and procedures concerning the smooth operations of the research undertaken and the research facilities. This includes serving as the primary link between Basic Science and/or Laboratory Research, Clinical Research and Population Health Research.
Key to the success of the research training activities within the Kids Research Institute is the role the committee plays in developing a strong research culture, managing all internal research funding schemes as appropriate and managing the selection mechanisms for postgraduate awards including the appointment of and ongoing support for Supervisors.
Beyond this, members of the Research Executive Committee also represent the Kids Research Institute with our key alliance partners including the University of Sydney and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead to build lasting partnerships, promote research excellence and enhance the understanding of research within our community.
